Palm wax candles by Candles by Carolyn are made with 100% all natural palm wax of the highest quality imported from Malaysia. Our fragrances are tested for both cold and hot throw to ensure that your candle will smell as beautiful sitting on your table as it does when it's burning. Our wicks are superior all cotton braid. Every candle's wick is specially chosen so the size of the wick will provide the best burn with minimal dripping for the size of the candle.

Hold one of our palm wax candles in your hands. Although the candle is extremely hard, it feels soft, much like peach fuzz. Now turn it and notice how the light plays off the different patterns formed by the crystallizing. Compare it to another Candles by Carolyn palm wax candle. No two are the same; each has its own unique patterns. Palm wax naturally crystallizes as it cools but the pattern is determined by various factors: the temperature of the wax as it is poured, the material of the mold, the fragrance and the dye. All play a part in making each palm wax candle from Candles by Carolyn a unique work of art. When you burn your candle, the pattern will show through the wall, providing another wonderful element to enjoy.

Candles by Carolyn also makes a line of hand made soy wax pillars and containers. As with all of our products, our soy candles are made with only the highest quality ingredients, using only 100% soy wax, all cotton wicks and the best quality fragrances we can find.

Soy wax candles are made from the wax of soy beans, a renewable source, which incidentally helps American soy growers. As soy candles become more popular, it is estimated that 60 million pounds of soy beans will be required annually just for candle production!

Candles by Carolyn makes a limited line of soy pillars in various shapes and sizes. Because soy wax is softer than either paraffin or palm wax, soy pillars generally cannot be more than 6" in height, but within those restrictions, we produce a larger range of soy pillars than you will find from most other producers. We also make a growing variety container soy candles in unique shapes and sizes, including our very popular Travel Tins. Travel Tins come in 4 oz. and 6 oz. sizes, perfect for fitting in a purse, travel bag, suitcase, or as a small gift for family or friends.

As noted in our FAQ section, even all natural vegetable oil waxes can smoke under certain circumstances. However, soy candles usually produce very little smoke and the smoke which it does produce is white, rather than black. Like palm wax, soy candles generally burn longer than paraffin candles, straight across the pillar or container.

Soy wax is creamy and thus it is extremely difficult to get bright or vibrant colors. However, Candles by Carolyn produces a wide range of beautiful pastel pillars and containers.
